I bought a small travel size bottle of this stuff since I was going on a trip and it was cheaper than my usual contact lens solution (Opti-free Replenish) so I used it and my contacts were not clean and they could barely stay in my eyes. I had to keep taking them out and using more solution to clean them. So last night after getting back from my trip I used my usual lens solution and my contacts are all better now. If I could I would have given this product ZERO stars.

4 Stars I want more
I’ve used this product for years and recently started purchasing it online at Amazon. I never feel stinging in my eyes as long as my hands are rinsed well before handling the lenses, and I rinse the lenses with fresh saline or Renu before placing into my eyes. I like this better than the “No Rub” products because I want my eyes to be exposed to as few additives or cleaners as possible. I’m sad Amazon does not have this in stock directly anymore, but they do still offer it through their partner vendors.

1 Star Very irritating after a few days
I’ve used ReNu and after about two days of soaking my lenses in the solution I noticed irritation and stinging soon after putting my contacts in. My sister had the same exact problem, so I know it couldn’t have been the lenses. I use Amo multi-purpose solution and it’s always been better. If you have sensitive eyes I would recommend using something else.

The first few days wearing my contacts were a little uncomfortable but then I started noticing the time-saving that this product afforded me. Normally I’d spend ten minutes or so cleaning my contact lenses with cleansers and the once-a-month cleaner. Now I spend a minute or two on each lens and walk away. And I do it all with one bottle.

ReNu is cool. My eyes feel clean and refreshed. It has a nice squeeze bottle so I don’t mistakenly have a problem with the cap. I recommend it to all my friends, especially since it eliminates the hassle of multiple bottles — it’s all in one!!!

5 Stars Clean and clear vision
I was sceptical at first when my (at the time) new eye doctor recommended the Purilens system. I thought to myself “He’s just trying to make another buck or two.” But I bought the system and started using it about two years ago and haven’t had a problem with my contacts since! I used to have periods with my chemical process wherein my contacts would get all cloudy and I couldn’t see clearly even to drive. I’d have to enzyme the contacts to get them clear again. But I haven’t had that problem with the Purilens system. My contacts have always remained clean and clear, well beyond their expected lifetime.

I just ran out of Purilens solution and now I can’t wait to get my next order! I’ve been using Renu for the last week and my contacts are so bad I can barely see well enough to type. Purilens, take me away……

3 Stars Product as described but lasts for 3 months
I received the product in a good packaging and in a timely manner. I have used Visine for years as it’s recommended by my doctor. It really moistures my eyes whenever I need so it’s always with me wherever I go.

So the product and the shipping are excellent. What I do not like is that particular bottle that I got from Amazon is going to expire in 3 months (I got it in March and it will expire in June). I usually spend 5-6 months to finish a bottle of this size so I’m not happy that this bottle will expire so soon. To the best of my knowledge, it would cost me more to return this product to Amazon since the fact that it will expire in couple months doesn’t seem to be a description of a malfunction or expired product that I can claim for free shipping to return.

In conclusion, I will continue shopping with Amazon BUT not with something that an expiration date is involved.

Staring at computer screens all day is not easy on my contacts and these drops are a HUGE help when they start to burning. I keep a bottle in my desk drawer at all times. Awesome!
