When my contacts start feeling uncomfortable due to protein build-up, I use one tablet in the cup with Aosept, and the next day my contacts feel like new again.

I ordered this online but it took forever for the order to arrive. I’ve since found it at Walgreens and will buy future supplies from my local store.

I’ve used Ultrazyme for years but can’t get it anymore in local stores, must be some MA law or something. Had no problem ordering online.

5 Stars Soft Lens Life Extender For Sure
This product definitely extends the life of soft contact lenses. Used once a week it removes the stubborn protein buildup and makes lenses more comfortable. These tablets getting difficult to find in drug stores, so I purchased it online. Vendor delivered product as promised at discounted price + shipping. Would use JustOTC again if needed.

I’ve been using this for years and years. Unfortunately, I have the hardest time finding it in stores–I’ve checked grocery stores, pharmacies, and stores like Target and Wal-Mart–they are either out of stock, or don’t carry it. I am so happy to have found it here at Amazon. I intend to continue to purchase it here.

I’ve used this stuff for YEARS! Even now when I have the disposable lenses, I still use it because I can get at least 6 months out of a pair of disposable lenses (one pair!) while using this product once a week. It’s cheaper than throwing out all those lenses, and it keeps your eyes healthier too. I’ve had eye infections from my contacts which happens ONLY if I don’t use this stuff. My eye doctor cannot believe how long I can wear a pair of lenses using this stuff. Plus, they’re not all gunky all the time either (he checks them with his equipment). Highly, highly recommended!

Tablets made in India. Solution made in China. Please, correct me if I am wrong. This is a new trend, contact lens solution made in China. AOSept is made in Canada and US. This is all subject to change so check the labels. I would stay away from China because of their track record. Google China drywall, domestic childrens milk, paint on toys, etc.

I lke the AMO brand for cleaning/disinfecting, and have used it for at least 12 – 15 years. Although no longer availaible over the counter, I will continue to buy this on the web as long as possible.

This stuff, hands down, IS the best product on the market. You don’t have to worry about getting eye infections, it REALLY gets your lenses clean, and hey, so what if you have to buy a separate cleaner. I can get 6 months usage out of one pair of disposable lenses when I use this product, along with the enzymatic cleaner. All those no rub solutions out there do nothing but promote eye infections. I’m getting over one right now after using one of them. It’s no walk in the park either. And besides, what’s better than peroxide to clean anything? Well, bleach and a bottle of Coke rank up there pretty high too but neither of those work with contacts. Anyway, highly highly recommend – I’ve used this product for 15 years and looked to switch because of the priciness of the product. Paid for that with two eye infections! Grab this stuff and a cleaner – you won’t be disappointed!

I have used lots of different disinfection solutions and heat disinfection, this is by far the best on the market. The neutralizer tablet for this solution also has moisturizers in it to help prevent lens dry-out. The active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide which has never failed to prevent an eye infection. Good insurance compared to some of the other solutions that have failed recently.

The product is not necessary for one-a-day disposable lenses, and those using disposable contacts with a usage life of less than 2 weeks may be able to get by with just scrubbing their contacts with a multipurpose solution (such as ReNu by B&L) or even a plain saline solution. If you keep your contacts for more than 2 weeks at a stretch, consider using this sort of product. If you’re unsure, consult with your optometrist.

This would be a 5-star product except for the high price per unit.

Update 12/2009: I’ve since switched to disposable 2-week contacts. For my eyes, I found that using just a multipurpose solution didn’t seem to get the lenses as clean and I was forced to discard them closer to the 1-week mark as they got built-up/uncomfortable. Cleaning with this cleaner kept them comfy for the full 2 weeks.

I was dissapointed because of the watery consistancy. I had confused it with a similar product from Bausch & Lomb which was thicker. The thinner product lends to more waste since I can’t tell how much is pouring out. Also, the .66 oz is less than the thicker (which I hadn’t noticed) so is not as much of a bargain.

The reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it’s completely overpriced, you seldom get a coupon, and all you’re paying for is a $.59 bottle of peroxide. That’s all this stuff is, a bottle of peroxide that has been purified for lens care. It’s just ridiculously overpriced and I finally switched to a store brand that cost 1/3 of the price of this stuff. AFter 10 years of use, I finally changed. I just think that much for a bottle of peroxide, one of the cheapest things on the market, is just ridiculous.
