5 Stars I prefer this product for eyelid hygiene over baby shampoo which stings my eyes.
My doctor has prescribed cleaning my eyelids with baby shampoo for ocular rosacea, but I have found that Ocusoft is gentler and doesn’t sting my eyes. I prefer the original formula as opposed to using the extra strength formula. I have purchased both of them and prefer the moist towelette packets, but you can also buy a foam cleanser with separate towelettes. More convenient to get the pre-moistened ones.

I have to scrub my eyelids everyday and this product has worked well for me, and so I highly recommend it to anyone with ocular problems of the eyelid, where lid hygiene is essential to keep the bacteria at bay.

I used the samples from my eye doctor and had no problem. Those wipes were a different material, pre-soaked with the Occusoft fluid. However, the kit I received had a different, coarser wipe. After a few days use, twice a day, my eyelids were reddened and raw. I had to stop using the product. I never opened the sent product as I had found the kit at my drugstore, at a lower cost, I might add, just after your product was on it’s way. There was no way to stop your shipment, so I am stuck for close to $35.00 for both purchases (one from my local drugstore and one from you). Live and learn. Until the manufacturers improve the softness of their wipes, I think I will not be the only disappointed consumer.

Used once per day, it is an excellent in helping to prevent eye irritation due to any hairs or other matter that may accumulate on the eyelids. I find it very convenient to purchase it through Amazon. The vendor, AC Lens, provides fast service at a reasonable shipping charge. Also, the pull date is far into the future compared to some store purchases I have made in the past.

The Opti-Free Express solution works ok for me but it is not as good as the Opti One which was discontinued a couple of years ago. The Opti One seemed to clean more thoroughly and left more of a “like new” smooth surface on the lens. I wish the manufacturer would bring back Opti One.

I was sceptical at first when my (at the time) new eye doctor recommended the Purilens system. I thought to myself “He’s just trying to make another buck or two.” But I bought the system and started using it about two years ago and haven’t had a problem with my contacts since! I used to have periods with my chemical process wherein my contacts would get all cloudy and I couldn’t see clearly even to drive. I’d have to enzyme the contacts to get them clear again. But I haven’t had that problem with the Purilens system. My contacts have always remained clean and clear, well beyond their expected lifetime.

I just ran out of Purilens solution and now I can’t wait to get my next order! I’ve been using Renu for the last week and my contacts are so bad I can barely see well enough to type. Purilens, take me away……

I’d like to add some positive comments here and note that I’ve been using this Aosept Cleaning solution with the little container and disc for my contact lenese cleaning since 1988.

In my area, Wal-Mart often runs out of this Aosept cleaner, therefore, I’ll buy 1.5 years worth of solution at a time since a few years ago, there was a severe production shortage of Aosept which means that it was impossible to buy it in the retail stores. I still use Miraflow as my Daily Cleaner to keep my contact lenses like new. My eye doctor comments that he notices my lenses are much cleaner than many other people using the newer cleaning systems. My contact lenses are meant to only be used for three months and then thrown away. Indeed, I follow this 3-month plan. About three years ago, I figured out that using Alcon Replenish as a rinser before putting the disinfected lense (after 6 hours of rinsing in Aosept and container with Disc) back in my eye, my contact lenses stay fresher longer during the day.

1 Star Aosept/Clear Care
The marketing of this product is horribly deceptive. It says Aosept but it is in a clear care package with a photo of a Clear Care bottle on the packaging. When I opened it up there was a huge Aosept bottle with a small travel Clear Care bottle. While I had a horrible reaction to Aosept 20 years ago, I was under the assumption that Aosept and Clearcare were the same product because they were being marketed together and thought the reaction I had before would not happen now since I have used Clear Care for many years. Well, I opened up the Aosept bottle first because it was the largest and used it and got a nasty eye infection which forced me into my glasses for God knows how long now and I cannot wear my contact lenses anymore. I think this was a really sleazy trick for the makers of Aosept to dump a product that they are trying to phase out by selling it in a Clear Care Box with a Clear Care bottle. My eye doctor told me that they are not the same product, that Aosept has one ingredient that is different than Clear Care and that one ingredient is the one that I had the reaction to. Don’t buy this horrible product, it cost me 5 trips to the Opthomologist already, it is deceptive and wrong.

5 Stars Great Disinfectant for Contact Lens
This product really cleans my contacts thoroughly. I wear CIBA Air Optix Aqua and clean them with Aosept every night. In the morning, they are fresh and ready to wear. I do rinse them with Bausch & Lomb Sensitive Eyes Plus Saline(also very good) first before placing them. This regimen/combo seems to work for me.

I highly recommend this product.

I used this product last night to clean my contacts. I live in a dry and windy area and this makes gunk build up on my lenses. I’ve been having problems for weeks with the amount of stuff built up. Anyway, I read about this (and Clear Care which I think are pretty much the same) and picked some up at the store. I read that some people experience really negative reactions like burning and stinging. It says on the label to rinse the lens off BEFORE placing in the eye, even though the solution should have neutralized all the hydrogen peroxide. I followed the directions and didn’t experience this side effect. I can’t give it five stars yet because I’ve only used it once, but I haven’t had any problems with it. This is a good solution to use if you are sick of the multipurpose ones not cleaning your lenses. Just remember to read the directions and follow them closely.

Update: I’ve been using this product for a few weeks now and really like it. Just make sure you rinse it in the morning when you put your contacts in, otherwise it does burn a little bit. I’d recommend letting it soak for at least 8 hours, not the recommended 6. Other than that it keeps lenses like new for much longer than multi-purpose solution.
